Meet the Adjudicator
Yvette Dudley-Neuman
Yvette Dudley-Neuman is a lifelong lover of stories, dedicated to “playing parts that move hearts” and revealing the messy, beautiful truth of the human experience. Since launching her globe-trotting career with Up with People in 1988, she has worn many creative hats: actor, writer, voiceover artist, drama teacher, acting coach, director, and producer.

On screen, Yvette’s credits include Van Helsing, The Flash, MOTIVE, Gracepoint, Once Upon a Time, and FRINGE. She also voices the delightfully dry Edna Carson on the hit comedy podcast Supermarket.
As a writer, her passion for words has sparked over 35 works—original songs, poems, 29 historical re-enactment scripts, full plays (The F Words, Titillations, Christmas Crackers, Detention Divas), and short films (Laundry Day, The Free Table, Edna Brown). Her award-winning solo show The F Words earned Honourable Mention in the Theatre BC Playwriting Competition and received glowing 4-star reviews.

As an adjudicator and mentor, Yvette is deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of theatre artists. She has adjudicated for the Sears BC Drama Festival, METFest, the Surrey High School Zone Festival, and both Regional and National STARFests, offering thoughtful, empowering feedback that centres artistic growth and confidence. She is excited to adjudicate the Theatre BC Mainstage North Zone Festival in May 2026, continuing her long-standing dedication to excellence and education in Canadian theatre.
Offstage, Yvette champions artists and arts organizations. She is the Artistic Producer for Pacific Coast Stage Company and the Nanaimo Fringe Festival, and she coordinates the Victoria and Nanaimo STARFests with the Theatrical Arts Education Association, spotlighting emerging student talent. A passionate advocate for women and disability inclusion in the arts, Yvette has led initiatives with Women in Film & Television Vancouver, UBCP/ACTRA, and beyond. Formally trained at the University of Calgary (BFA/BEd), she balances her artistic work with teaching and continues to grow her ever-evolving slate of creative projects.
