This is a special fundraising preview performance for the Nanaimo Hospital Foundation.
When Giant Thundor’s evil henchman Mayhem burdens the good people of Happyville with an unprecedented tariff, Jack steps up to the challenge of putting everything right.
Will Dame Rosebud, Princess Sapphire and Sunflower the cow all remain safe?
Follow along as we sing dance and laugh through this silly show.

One of my earliest behind the scenes theatre memories is attending ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ rehearsals with my Dad playing the Giant and my Mom as pianist. I was fascinated watching the characters develop and fell in love with the art of a good old fashioned Pantomime.
Keeping true to the original story with a healthy dose of fresh content and familiar music was a fun challenge. Nanaimo Theatre Group has a rich history with this genre and I’m sure you’ll see some familiar faces along with some great new additions.
