Amanda Best
Amanda is a community health nurse and proud mother who is thrilled to make her community theatre debut with Nanaimo Theatre Group. While her days are usually filled with patient care and family life, four years ago she leaped back into a childhood dream– performing. As a kid, she imagined herself as a background dancer in music videos and was often caught singing in front of mirrors. That dream took a scenic detour through athletics, her nursing career, and parenthood, but that creative spark never went out. She rediscovered her love for dance and musical theater when she signed up for classes at Stephanie Roth Performing Arts Studio. She found joy and fulfillment in learning new skills and gained the confidence to challenge herself further. She will forever be grateful to her AMT friends for their support and encouragement.Being part of this pantomime is not just a performance– it’s a celebration of a meaningful and exciting milestone. Amanda would like to thank her family for being her most captive and supportive audience– even during kitchen rehearsals and living room dance breaks. She’s excited to share this moment with you all!
