J. Sophia discovered her love of acting at the tender age of nine, when during a Girl Scout workshop, she improvised a mime that had her audience in stitches. As J. Sophia grew, she realized her passion for acting was only matched by that of writing her own characters; and in 2013, she wrote, produced and acted in her first stage production Dear Life for the Vancouver Fringe Festival. A graduate of the Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts and the David Lynch Graduate School of Cinematic Arts MFA in Screenwriting, J. Sophia's most recent multi-hyphenate endeavor - short film titled Tides of Longing - will be released on Telus Optik TV in 2026.
